Day 1Welcome to Namibia! Skeleton Coast

Arrival to Hosea Kutako airport in the morning, meet & greet at the airport, chartered flight to Skeleton Coast, departs at 12:35. On arrival to the landing strip transfer to Hoianib Skelton Coast Camp. Skeleton Coast is 2000 kilometers long. It lies from Kunene river in the North to Ugab river in the South. Local terrain is extremely diverse — from endless dunes to mountain gorges and rough canyons. Many ship wrecks scattered along the coast tell their story of what has happened on those shores long time ago. Surreal landscapes will remind you some of the famous Salvador Dali paintings. After lunch, we will go on a game drive to Northern part of Palmwag Concession of Skeleton Coast. This part of the park is private and only accessible to Hoanib Lodge guests. This area boasts the Kaokoveld͛s best viewing of desert-adapted wildlife, and regularly attracts researchers who come to study the herds of elephant and prides of lion that manage to survive in these harsh yet beautiful surroundings. Dinner at the camp.

Hoianib Skelton Coast Camp has an incredibly remote location deep in Namib Desert. The camp, however, is modern and elegant with 8 luxury tents (including 1 family tent). Namibia͛s starkly beautiful Kaokoveld supports a surprising diversity of wildlife. Although game drives at Hoanib Skeleton Coast are not just about ticking sightings off a checklist, but also the opportunity to explore this unique area. Imagine seeing herds of elephant, giraffe, gemsbok (oryx) or even lion in the dry riverbeds or framed by enormous sand dunes – fantastic for photography! Between game drives you can relax in your tent or alongside the swimming pool. Being so remote, there is no wi-fi so it really is a chance to unplug (there is a computer with internet access should you really need it). The staff here are wonderful, meals are really tasty, there͛s a good selection of wine, and after dinner you can sit around the campfire and listen to stories under a sky filled with stars.

ACCOMMODATION: Hoianib Skelton Coast Camp
INCLUDED: All meals, 2 activities per day, all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (except the imported brands).
ATTENTION: You will need to book the flight arriving to Windhoek in the morning in order to make it on time for 11:00 chartered flight to Hoanib. Otherwise, we can book the additional night in Windhoek for you.

Day 2 Skeleton Coast

Morning safari at the Park. Lunch at the camp. In the afternoon, you will join the nature walk with our ranger and learn about smaller creatures inhabiting the area and about amazing desert vegetation. Dinner and cocktails at the camp.

ACCOMMODATION: Hoianib Skelton Coast Camp
INCLUDED: All meals, 2 activities per day, all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (except the imported brands).

Day 3Sossusvlei. Namib Desert

After the breakfast transfer to landing strip, chartered flight to Sossusvlei. On arrival transfer to Little Kulala Lodge. After lovely lunch at the lodge we will explore Kulala Concession and its inhabitants during the 4×4 game drive or quad bike trip. After sunset, you can join our ranger on a night walking safari on the search for the nocturnal inhabitants of the park. And under the light of fluorescent UV torch you will be able to see scorpions and Dancing White Lady spiders, shining bright in the darkness.

Apart from all of that, desert is an ideal place to study stars and constellations. Our guides will be happy share the wonders of the Southern Skies with you. Dinner at the lodge.

Little Kulala Lodge –Journey into the ancient Namib to experience this stark and mesmerizing desert landscape from the luxurious style and intimate comfort of the Little Kulala. Located on the outskirts of Namibia͛s iconic Sossusvlei Dune area, home to the tallest dunes in the world, this lavish retreat is utterly unique. Set among ancient camel-thorn trees on the dry Auab riverbed, this opulent refuge offers top-class facilities and warm hospitality. The towering red-orange sand dunes of Sossusvlei lie nearby, beckoning guests to discover their mystery and solitude. This sumptuous desert retreat is located inside a private wilderness reserve, covering 37 000 hectares (91 500 acres) of arid terrain in the ancient Namib Desert. Accommodation is in 11 thatch-roofed villas, called kulalas, meaning ͚to sleep͛. These air-conditioned units are designed to blend in with the muted desert landscape, with each villa offering its own plunge pool and indoor as well as outdoor showers, and a private rooftop bed for intimate stargazing.

ACCOMMODATION: Little Kulala Lodge
INCLUDED:All meals, 2 activities per day, all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (except the imported brands).

Day 4Sossusvlei

Early in the morning we will leave for the desert to see the sunrise in the dunes of Dead Vlei. Sossusvlei is the name of the giant valley (and the desert region itself), covered with dried clay and surrounded by famous sand dunes, that seem red and orange in the light of the first sunbeams. We will hike to the top of the tallest Dune No45 over 300 m.

Near Sossusvlei lies the Dead Vlei valley. It used to be the lake, but now all what’s left are the skeletons of the petrified trees rising from the dry broken soil. Lunch at the lodge. We will continue our desert exploration by visiting the Sesriem Canyon. This remarkable geological formation deserves the visit. During the millions of years, water made its way into the earth, and, because of all those years, Sesriem Canyon is now 3 kilometers long. Views from the top of the canyon are breathtaking. During our canyon walk you will be able to see the distinct geological layers that were formed during the many centuries. Dinner at the camp.

ACCOMMODATION: Little Kulala Lodge
INCLUDED:All meals, 2 activities per day, all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (except the imported brands).
ATTENTION: we suggest you order the scenic Air Balloon flight over the Sossusvlei for the next morning to see the unique ͞Martian͟ dune landscapes from the sky ($425 per person).
